Madoka is a Japanese professional dancer, model,  movement director, and collaborator. In addition to her artistic career, she also gives dance and movement workshops internationally. She is passionate about bridging dance and other art forms and businesses.


She started classical ballet when she was 5 years old in her hometown Sendai in Japan. In 2009, she competed at the YAGP New York final in the senior age division, where she received a silver medal and scholarships.

At 16 years old, she moved to Dresden, Germany, to study at Palucca University of Dance. In 2010 she received a scholarship from DAAD-prize for the outstanding achievement of foreign student.

In 2012, she graduated with a Bachelor of Art and then spent 2 years working at Ballet Zurich Junior in Switzerland under the direction of Christian Spuck. In Zurich she danced works by Christian Spuck, Douglas Lee, Stephan Thoss, and Heinz Spoerli. She received an award of 'Dance Prize of Friends of the Zurich Ballet' in 2013

In 2014, she joined one of the world's leading contemporary dance companies, Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT2) in The Netherlands.

In 2017, she was promoted to NDT1, where she danced till the end of 2024. With NDT, she danced works by Jiří Kylián, Marco Goecke, Sol León and Paul Lightfoot, Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, Hofesh Shechter, William Forsythe, Medhi Walerski, Simon McBurney, Sharon Eyal, Tao Ye, Imre&Marne van Opstal, Yoan Bourgeois, Damien Jalet, and Alexander Ekman to name a few.

In 2021, she was awarded the Miyagi Prefecture New Selected Artist Award for Fine Arts.

Since 2025, she has been working as a freelance artist worldwide.
