Nederlands Dans Theater (2014–2024)

Madoka Kariya danced with Nederlands Dans Theater for over 10 years, beginning with NDT 2(2014-2017) and later joining NDT 1(2017-2024). Throughout her time with the company, she worked closely with renowned choreographers, such as Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol León, William Forsythe,Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite, Marco Goecke, Sharon Eyal, Hofesh Shechter, Simon McBurney,Medhi Walerski,and Damien Jalet to name a few, performing both repertoire and new creations.

She toured internationally and took on leading roles in major works, including a memorable return to Japan in 2019 dancing in Lightfoot & León’s celebrated pieces. Her years at NDT deeply shaped her artistic voice rooted in precision, vulnerability, and an enduring curiosity for movement through collaborative creation at the highest level.
